December 2006 – Khaled is invited to the Ahmenadijad’s “Holocaust Conference” in Tehran (he’s looking forward to debunking the deniers). Then he’s disinvited 3 days before the event, apparently when the Iranians learn he is an Israeli citizen, not a Palestinian living in the West Bank
January 2006 – Harvey does first shoot with Khaled, in his museum in Nazareth.
February 2007 – First investment monies come in.
June 2006 – Khaled does Holocaust workshop at Askar Refugee Camp, near Nablus in the West Bank.
October 2006 – Khaled meets with Bedouins in Southern Israel, whose homes are slated for demolition by the Israeli government.
February 2007 – Workshop at Balata Refugee camp (one of the densest human habitations in the world) near Nablus.
May 2008 – Khaled meets with the director of the Israeli Holocaust Survivors’ Organization.
February 2009 – Baptism by tear gas for Khaled and Harvey, in Biilin village, West Bank.
April 2009 – Khaled first visits Niilin, West Bank village that has weekly demonstrations against the Separation Fence that cuts villagers off from their fields. Some villagers decide to start a small exhibit of Holocaust photos in the basement of one of their homes.
July 2009 – Khaled and Niilin villagers start to confront Israeli soldiers at Niilin demonstrations with Holocaust photos.
July 2009 – After many weekly demonstrations, Israeli soldiers threaten to close the Holocaust exhibit if it is not moved.
September 2009 – First trailer edited.
December 2009 – Two Niilin villagers, who had set up the Holocaust exhibit and led non-violent demonstrations in Niilin, are visited by Israeli soldiers at 3 a.m. and threatened with arrest. Screenings of excerpts of “Heart of the Other” in Berlin and Jerusalem.
January 2010 – Above 2 Niilin villagers arrested.
May 2010 – Planned end of shooting.
